Saturday December 5th, 2026: Kingswood Home for Children
Join us for our annual trip to visit Kingswood Home for Children located in Bean Station, TN. We will be presenting on behalf of the Smoky Mountain Region a $75.00 gift card for each child. It’s always nice to visit Kingswood this time of year and we should be greeted by Angie and Donna who can tell everyone a little about Kingswood and the great work that they do there. Hopefully the kids will be there and we can meet a few.
Our driving tour will conclude at Kingswood Home for Children. After the tour concludes, for those interested, we will drive into Morristown to 1907 Brewing Company. We thought that we’d grab a few pizzas for lunch before everyone heads back out to deal with Holiday shopping, parties, etc. We will just split the cost between everyone.
Our driving tour on Saturday is roughly 75 miles and will take about 2 hours to complete, including time for a rest stop. We plan to meet at the Village Green Shopping Center in Farragut. The meeting time is 9 AM. Following a short driver’s meeting and signing of the waivers, we will depart (no later than 9:30 AM). Please remember to top your tank off before meeting. Fresh Market has restroom facilities that you can use prior to leaving if necessary.
Starting Point: Village Green Shopping Center. 11435 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934
Destination: Kingswood Home for Children 160 Wachtel Rd, Bean Station, TN 37708
RSVP me directly and include the following – jgottlieb01@gmail.com
- Drivers Name and Passenger Name
- Year, Model, Color of Vehicle
- Cell Phone and email
If you have your own radio, please bring it along. We will be using Channel 3, which is 462.612 MHz. We’ve found that lots of radios really help in being able to stay together and ahead of situations. We will have a few Club radios to loan as well.
Lastly, as with all tours, we will be accepting donations for charity (suggested $10 per car). Someone will be on hand to collect should you so desire to help out. If you have any questions or an interest in leading or sweeping one of the groups, please let me know.
Thanks, Jack
