We are back at Pellissippi State Community College in Hardin Valley for 2026, and most events are open to our hopefully soon to be owning Porsche Friends as well. The exact location is the parking lot to the left after entering the main entrance off Solway Rd. Hope to see everyone at each of these……and bring a friend! The dates are:
- March 22, 2026: Stand-alone Autocross
- April 25, 2026: Spring Thing 2026, PORSCHE ONLY
- May 24, 2026: Stand-alone Autocross
- June 14, 2026: Stand-alone Autocross
- September 13, 2026: Stand-alone Autocross
- October 18, 2026: Stand-alone Autocross
- November 8, 2026: Stand-alone Autocross
The various details (registration via Motorsportreg.com, schedule, announcements, etc.) will be forthcoming as we near each event.
IN GENERAL Event Details – A typical day of event schedule looks like this: check is at 8:30 am; Course orientation (including walking the course) will start around 9:00AM followed by a drivers’ meeting; safety briefing; worker assignments; and staging for first run group. The first car leaves at 10:00. Prior to running, each car will go through a safety/tech check. This ensures all items are removed from the car, wheel lugs tight and safety helmet is current.
As with most autocross events, if you are not driving in a session, you’ll be working making it possible for the others to drive. Your work assignment is typically working the course, watching for infractions and re-setting cones. There will be plenty of members there to help guide you in what to do and what to look for while working. These will be normal autocrosses with morning and afternoon sessions, about six runs each.
The autocross is open to all club members and friends, including those for whom this will be their first autocross experience. Because autocross is held in a large, open lot with speeds under 55 mph and only one car on the course at a time, it is very safe. Given the open space and lower speed, autocross is also relatively easy on your car and no special preparation for the car is required. If you’re interested in learning more about autocross, but not yet ready to participate, please join us as a spectator.
Most events will be held at Pellissippi State Community College, 10915 Hardin Valley Road, Knoxville, TN, 37932. Registration for each event typically opens approximately one month before the event. Registration, fees and specific event information will be located at www.motorsportreg.com as the next event approaches.
