News From Around the ZONE!

The board from Coastal Empire also decided to add to the donation and from their region are sending a check for $2,000.00, and Palmetto Region is sending a check for $2,500.00 the Hawaii region president to provide funds for local non-profit organizations to help with providing food and other critical items.
Happening Around the Zone!
- Three Day HPDE at Road Atlanta
This is the last HPDE of the season for us so we want to make it a great one. Join us at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for three days of adrenaline-fueled driving on September 29 – October 1. This track should be at the top of everyone’s bucket list. You don’t have to drive a Porsche to participate. Friday is open only to solo drivers. There will be three run groups with a potential of two hours and forty minutes of seat time (five sessions) for everyone.
Students will be welcome to join us on Saturday and Sunday as we return to our four run group format. Students will receive several classroom sessions to enhance their knowledge of being on track and how to be safe. Students will also have a personal instructor riding in their passenger seat communicating with them using headsets while on track. Students will only be on track with drivers having similar skillsets.
Eins, Zwei, G’suffa! Saturday night will be Oktoberfest at the Biergarten (The Driving Club). When the track goes cold, the oompah music will fire up and there will be plenty of German food and beverages. Printer’s Ale Manufacturing Co. will be providing a special Oktoberfest brew for our event. They are a taproom brewery based in Carrollton, GA. So, bring your lederhosen and favorite Tyrolean hat and have a great time! Registered drivers will receive a free ticket to the social. Additional tickets can be bought on clubregistration.net.

2nd Wilderness Trail Autocross Cup
Wilderness Trail Region secured an amazing venue for Autocross this Summer and work is being done to add some dates this Fall. Don’t miss the opportunity to take your Porsche out for Autocross. Never done autocross? You’re missing out! Autocross is a perfect opportunity for those who have never tried it before to correct their relationship with their car, improve their driving skills, and have a blast in a fun, social environment. and the Wilderness Trail is offering to all PCA members a ‘Ride Along’ opportunity: For those who are interested in autocross, but unsure if they want to try it (or just plain curious), we offer a “Taste of Autocross.” For $10, you will have the opportunity to ride with a driving instructor for 2 runs on your car and experience the thrill.
