MARCH 16, 2019
Richard and Carol planned out a very nice drive through the Townsend area, including parts of The Dragon, two pieces of the Foothills Parkway (including the Brand New Part!!), and some obscure roads we are sure we could never find on our own. About two dozen cars showed up, and we met in Maryville to “handle the paperwork” and “hear Da’ Rulz”, and then we were off in two groups.
Midway break was at the Townsend Heritage Center, where some local flavor was taken in (and some killer geology!), then we looped through some back roads with no names. After we cruised the new section of the Foothills Parkway, we landed at The Townsend Abbey for libations and snacks.
After that, some went home, some went to dinner, and some went elsewhere! Good time was had by all, and the weather was great! See you next drive!
