We hope everyone had a great Fourth of July holiday.
The board has voted to cancel all activities for the months of July and August as a result of the increasing threat of COVID 19. It is unfortunate that we have to cancel Spring Thing (our signature event of the year), however, having close to 100 people gather in this environment is not in the best interest of the club. Other activities cancelled include drive outs, socials, and autocrosses.
I hope we can figure out a way to get together some this fall. Much of what we do involves getting together in groups (sometimes large ones) to enjoy our activities and that is the very thing we cannot do. I am working on some ways for us to gather in smaller groups to do drives and the like so that some of our activities can continue. It seems that the pandemic is going to be with us for some time to come. We will work on limiting groups and increasing safety as we move forward.
Hopefully, we will be able to have Fall Fest in November and some other activities before then. I’m sure we all miss each other.
