On Saturday, July 9 Rich and Wendy McGowan hosted the quarterly board meeting at their home in Morristown. They were hoping for a Porsche-palooza in their driveway, but hailstorms earlier in the week and more threatening storms in the forecast prevented those making the drive from Knoxville want to toy with mother nature. Does anyone remember the autocross at 411 Speedway when it hailed? Well, as Murphy would have it, the day turned out beautiful. So, after lots of great discussion, the board meeting adjourned. Rich then put away his president’s chair and donned his Porsche pig barbecue apron to cook burgers and dogs. Everyone brought a dish to share. Not only do our board members like great cars, but they’re not bad cooks either!
