Concours 101 Training, Sunday February 26, 2023
Smoky Mountain Region PCA will hold a Concours judges training on Sunday, 26 February at Harpers Car Wash on Alcoa highway (3163 Alcoa Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701). The training will focus on three areas:
- First, the skills required to be recognized as a Smoky Mountain Region Concours judge.
- Second, it will be an opportunity for existing judges to practice their skills and learn of any changes in the national protocol for judging. For those planning on judging at Spring Thing, this will be a good opportunity to brush up on your judging skills.
- Third, general information about a Concours event and the various judging classes. In addition, it covers what judges look for when judging cars. This provides members with valuable information about preparing their car for judging at Spring Thing and other PCA Concours event.
The school will start at 1:00 PM and will last for about 2 1/2 hours max. This facility has a large indoor heated bay and we will be holding the training in this area. The participants will practice judging real cars and get feedback from the instructors. If you would like to attend please call or text Mike Parker add 865-919-1534. We need a rough count of attendees so that we can prepare the support material for the school.
This is a fun event and takes all the mystery out of Concours participation.
