Saturday/Sunday, September 14-15, Drive and Potluck Dinner
Once again, the Woontners and Fischers hosted a Potluck Dinner at their side-by-side mountaintop cabins outside of Murphy, NC. The tour entailed a led driving tour to the cabins on some of East Tennessee’s and West North Carolina’s gorgeous roads, then social hour followed by BBQ and Potluck sides and desserts. This year ALL of us returned on another led trip down the Cherohala Skyway, and then made a command decision the end the Driving Tour early with lunch in Tellico Plains.
We had about 20 folks, the weather was fantastic in spite of the former hurricane lurking to the west, the company excellent, and views were amazing across the Hiwassee Valley. Many thanks to the hosts, the planners, and all that came out for a good time.
