November 5th, 2022, Porsches & Horses
November 5th marked the date for our New Member Welcome Social, Porsches & Horses. In spite of ominous weather (that never really delivered) participation was brisk with over 100 people attending the catered dinner while enjoying the music provided by a local band. Getting there, over 40 cars participated in a driving tour of the area. Many “new to some of us” roads were traversed over local hills and dales, with spotty rain showers here and there to wash the bugs off.
Upon arrival, members were quickly parked with Disney-like efficiency, chairs were pulled from frunks, the bar was opened, and The Game was on in The RV Garage (sorry about that, Vols). After mingling to the strains of classic rock and folk music, the buffet opened and some bodacious victuals were served. BBQ chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and all the sides and sauces were amazing, and no one left hungry.
