Bob and Penne planned us a very nice drive out northeast of town, with twisty roads and scenic beauty. We organized at Harper’s at noon, got briefed, tagged, and ready to roll, and about 12:30 split into three groups. We took I-40 East to Rutledge Pike, then headed northeast. Highlights included Joppa Mountain Road, Lone Mountain Road, and Hickory Valley Road. Drive was fun, pastoral beauty abounded, and mid drive potty break perfect.
We ended our run of 120 miles at Next Level Brewing on Broadway. We ran them ragged, and hit the Wood Fired Pizza Truck pretty hard. With 45 cars on the drive, we owned the place. Good time had by all, and weather was perfect!
