May 15, 2022 – Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge
The Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge (CMOR) is a hands-on museum of history, art, science, and culture for all ages. Since 1973, CMOR has served visitors through innovative exhibits, classes, camps, special events, and outreach programs. CMOR has 20 exciting exhibits, plus an environmental center and gardens, train caboose, and solar house. The exhibits are enjoyed by visitors of all ages. With STEAM for success CMOR serves children and families with programs – such as our spring, summer, and fall camps – that promote STEAM (that’s STEM + Art) and active learning.
Our generous donation will support 10 student scholarships for CMOR’s Summer and Fall 2022 Imagination Station camps. A scholarship provides one week of full day camp for a child. Topics range from gardening to physics to Africa to art to ancient culture and more! Camps are for children rising into grades K-2 and grades 3-5. All activities are age appropriate. These camp scholarships will provide an experience to children whose families do not have the means to provide this type of enrichment and who will benefit greatly!
Feel free to visit anytime, it is really quite a place!! They are at 461 W Outer Dr, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, and their hours are online.
