APRIL 18, 2019
On Saturday, May 18, 2019, the Smoky Mountain Region held a Poker Run to benefit our Club Charity Fund, with funds going to the Kingswood Home for Children. The roughly 65-mile route started in Farragut and took us to Greenback, a portion of US 129, the full current length of the Foothills Parkway. The Fifth and final Checkpoint was at Elvira’s Café for snacks then a sit down dinner, and to award the winning hand! Sadly, the hands were underwhelming (“HEY! We had a Small Flush!”)
Some may remember Elvira from our Fall 2018 DE, showed up in her new Boxster and had a blast!
Congrats to our winner and thanks to Harpers for supplying the prize, a Porsche shirt. And many thanks to Bob and Penne for setting this up, and thanks all the volunteers that made it happen. In the end we raised $825 for Kingswood!! THANKS!!
