A foursome of SMTPCA members drove up to Pittsburgh for the 40th annual 2023 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, catching some fine car shows and vintage racing, as well as good eats, drinks and good times.
According to the event leaders, “Our original mission, established in 1983 was, “To stage a world-class vintage automotive race to raise funds to provide residential care, treatment and support for individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities in western Pennsylvania.” 40 years later we are still on track.” It was quite a time, with many cars in various marque corrals, vendors and freebies, and fun racing to watch. Also, the Allegheny Region Porsche Club of America invited hundreds of fellow club members, guests from other regions, and friends to gather on “Porsche Field” in Schenley Park to enjoy fine automotive culture, vintage races, and the camaraderie that defines PVGP weekend.
