Wow! Have you seen the photos of the ‘new’ 935 Porsche is building? Only 77 copies will be built, with a price tag somewhere north of 800K. It is a purpose built race car, but not homologated for any series, worldwide. Designed for non-competitive track time by its owner. What a gorgeous Porsche!!!
We mourn the passing of Jack Bair. There are those in the Zone that will remember Jack as a member of PCNA who was the predecessor of the current position within Porsche management known as club liaisons. Jack and Porsche parted company, and he then moved to the left coast, becoming active in the Shelby club, and posting his drives in his beloved Aero Morgan. He came to multiple Zone events working for PCNA.
Well, you can’t call it Road Atlanta anymore…Michelin recently announced an association with the track, and it will now be bearing its name … MICHELIN RACEWAY ROAD ATLANTA …
The factory 911RSR (#911) won the final race of the season at the Motul Petit LeMans, in GTLM. Congrats!
PCA provided volunteers for the Porscheplatz at the Petit LeMans. Saw many of you there! At the high point, we parked 174 Porsches in the ‘platz’ parking area. Our friends across the street, namely the Corvette Club, managed to park 165. A big thank you goes out to JP Bourquin (and wife Chris) of the Peachstate Region, who stepped up and managed the recruitment, registration, as well as the job assignments of ‘platz’ volunteers, for Friday and Saturday.
This coming weekend? The Hilton Head Concours. Club Showcase on Saturday, with PCA taking part. Hoping to run into some Palmetto, and Coastal Empire Region folks there.
See you at the next PCA event…
