Saturday, November 15, Points North & a Pick-a-Nick
Join us on Saturday November 15th, for our monthly Driving Tour. This will be a mix of twisty roads, scenic farmland, and flowing foothill roads, with a Pick-a-Nick lunch to boot! (BYOF) It will take about 4 hours to cover 110 miles, including lunch, so sign up, pack a lunch, bring some chairs if you wish and get ready to roll!
The major points:
- We’ll meet at 9:30am and depart at 10:00am at the Oak Ridge KROGER (1550 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN). Good starting Pit Stop, Gas-up, and lunch options for late shoppers.
- Pick-a-Nick lunch will be at Big Ridge State Park (1015 Big Ridge Park Rd, Maynardville, TN), at the Pick-a-Nick area just east of the main parking lot. Concrete tables and benches, so bring comfy chairs if you wish.
- Driving highlights include: Devil’s Triangle, Rocky Top, Norris Dam, US 441, windy roads about Maynardville, Joppa Mountain Road.
- We’ll end at the Blaine, TN, Food city at 180 Rutledge Pike, Blaine, TN.
