The Vonore – Ducktown Loop has everything that both a driver and passenger could ever want. For the passenger, lots of spectacular scenery is in store. A pristine country day drive with views of mountains, farmland, rivers, creeks and forests. For the driver, lots of tight turns and curves with some straights in between to catch your breath.
The drive will begin and end in Vonore. The tour is 125 miles and is expected to take about 4 hours including rest stops in Tellico Plains and Ducktown. We will depart Vonore on Hwy 360 for Tellico Plains. After a brief rest stop, our route will take us to Reliance via Hwy 315. Departing Reliance on Hwy 30, we will travel south to Ocoee Lake. From there, we will hop onto Hwy 64 and travel east to Ducktown. Following a rest stop, we will then take Hwy 68 back through Tellico Plains to Madisonville. From there, a short 10 mile drive up Hwy 411 to Vonore where our drive will conclude.
Please plan to have lunch before the start of the drive as we will not be stopping to dine during the tour. While the tour officially begins and ends in Vonore, if anyone is interested in getting together for dinner afterwards, we can discuss that at the trip’s end.
