Mark your calendars, tell your Porsche Friends, we are moving to Johnson City! We’re excited for our 45th Spring Thing East Tennessee tradition. After six great years at The General Morgan, we are busting at the seams there. So we are trying out the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City.

- Event Classes draft to assist in picking Councours/Autocross classes on registration
New and special features of Spring Thing 2021 include:
- More rooms! 137 to be precise, in many “levels of luxury”
- Cover parking for all! A five story garage, and we are planning to have the Concours on the roof
- Bigger facilities, some resort and spa options, and the like
- Autocross at Bristol Motor Speedway: an SCCA favorite, so we’ll give it a shot
Many of the classic events will be on tap, along with some new ones:
- Friday Social, Meet & Greet hors d’oevres and cash bar
- Saturday morning competitive Concours d’Elegance (if you wish to help judge, please contact Peter)
- Saturday afternoon led and/or self-guided driving tours
- Saturday Awards Banquet
- Sunday Autocross at Bristol
Please note, when you go through the registration form, carefully read each question and answer accordingly. Put down your partners name, and check the box for each activity you want – it will then show any options available. It will lead you through the process easily if done carefully.
You will also need to register with the hotel directly, with moving the dates 2 times plus the general nature of things lately, all reservations were deleted. Call the Carnegie Hotel at 423 979-6400. Tell them you are with the Porsche Club and they’ll give you the same rate we had last year of $139 night. Do not call the toll free number as that is a different service and they know nothing about our arrangements.
