An Evening with Derek & Justin Bell – A Rare Opportunity in Charleston
The Palmetto Region is excited to host a special evening on May 8 in downtown Charleston with racing legend Derek Bell and his son, Le Mans winner and broadcaster Justin Bell.
This is more than a dinner — it’s a full evening event featuring great food, open bar, a live auction with curated travel and driving experiences, and a room full of Porsche enthusiasts.
What makes this especially unique is the timing. Derek has never been to Charleston, and the only reason for his visit is his grandson Oliver’s graduation from The Citadel — a rare opportunity that’s unlikely to come around again.
For those within driving distance — or looking for a great excuse to spend a spring weekend in Charleston — this is shaping up to be a memorable night.

SUV Day VII: Deals Gap Weekend – June 19–21, 2026
THE 7th WILDERNESS SUV DAY – A MACAN & CAYENNE WEEKEND in the Smoky Mountains
One of the most popular and fun events on our calendar is SUV Day, an experience dedicated exclusively to Macans and Cayennes. Each SUV day has pushed the boundaries of what most people think a Porsche SUV can do. We’ve tackled twisty mountain roads, explored forest and service roads, climbed mountains in search of snow nd turned a 274-acre farm into our personal playground with creek crossings, downhill descents, and more.
You asked and we’re delivering: SUV Day #7 is going big. This time, it’s a multi-day, overnight adventure in DEALS GAP. That’s right. We’re bringing our “bulky” Porsches to legendary roads like the TAIL OF THE DRAGON, the CHEROHALA SKYWAY, the HELLBENDER, the FOOTHILLS PARKWAY and other iconic routes. But before the pavement thrills, we’ll take on a few carefully selected FOREST SERVICE ROADS in the Smoky Mountains for an off-the-beaten-path experience you won’t forget.
Our HQ for this event is the FONTANA VILLAGE RESORT.
Bring your Macan or Cayenne. Bring the family, kids, grandkids, even the pets. We’ll be driving both Saturday and Sunday through some of the most scenic roads and trails on the East Coast.SUVs, the Porsche way.
