Saturday May 20, 2023: Reliance / Ocoee River Tour & Lunch
Come enjoy an exciting drive through some of East Tennessee’s most scenic back roads, creeks, Mennonite farmlands, mountains and the beautiful Ocoee River. This tour will feature lots of twisty roads along with some very nice 2 lane state roads. THE BASICS:

- Estimated Drive Time: Including Rest Stop – 4 hours & 10 minutes.

- Meeting Location: Sequoyah Birthplace Museum, 576 TN-360, Vonore, TN 37885
- Lunch Location & Final Destination: Tellico Village Yacht Club, 100 Sequoyah Rd. Loudon, TN 37774
The drive will begin at Sequoyah Birthplace Museum. We will start on TN360 towards Tellico Plains then merge onto some beautiful backroads through Mennonite country. Horse drawn buggies are often seen here. We will then catch TN39 to TN315 towards Reliance, TN. From there we pick up TN30 to the Ocoee River. We’ll then turn left on Hwy 64 and ride along the Ocoee River towards our rest stop. We’ll then continue on Hwy 64 and head North on TN68 back towards Tellico Plains. We will then pick up the portion of TN360 we bypassed and pass the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum.
We’ll take Hwy 411 to TN 72 to Tellico Pkwy/444 into Tellico Village. We’ll drive 5.5 miles to Sequoyah Rd directly to the Tellico Village Yacht Club, where we will have a fantastic lunch and scenic view of Tellico Lake. Our drive will conclude at this location.
