Saturday, December 11, 2021 – Kingswood Home for Children
Christmas time is coming to the children at Kingswood Home for Children! Thanks to your generosity over the course of 2021, the Smoky Mountain Region PCA is purchasing $75 gift cards for each child at Kingswood. Plans are underway to personally deliver the cards to them in conjunction with a fun driving tour!
We’ve set a great driving route that begins at the I-40 Jefferson County Rest Area (Eastbound at Mile Marker 420) and ends at the Kingswood Home for Children in Bean Station, Tennessee. Our driving route is some 148 miles in length, and we will traverse in a counterclockwise direction traveling near Greeneville, Baileyton, Rogersville and Sneedville on lots of scenic and curvy driving roads. While details are currently being worked, we tentatively plan to meet at 11:30 AM and following a driver’s meeting depart the Rest Area promptly at 12 PM. The driving time, including 2 rest stops is estimated to be 4 hours. Recognizing that this is a busy time of year for everybody, we should be done at Kingswood by 4:30 PM.
