Our Fifth Annual Turkeys in the Trunk event was this last Saturday from 12 PM to 1 PM. We had great weather, a good turnout, and a good time was had by all. Thanks to Harper Porsche for hosting this event at their Harper Auto Wash facility.
We descended on the back lot and volunteers commenced to unloading and weighing the donations. Proceeds were donated to both the Salvation Army and the Knox Area Rescue Ministries. And the Final tally was:
- 2,000 pounds of food collected
- Oodles of turkeys and hams collected
- cash donations collected totaling $7,675!
And our winners Of Eurotech Knoxville gift certificates were:
- SUV Class: Vic R.
- Coupe Class: Mark T.
After the event, about a dozen of us headed to Chesapeake’s for a late lunch. The “Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding” is highly recommended.
Once again the Smoky Mountain Region delivered! Thanks to all that donated and helped. And big thanks to Bob and Penny Baugh for setting this up.
