Another beautiful day at Dollywood’s Splash Country parking lot, and we had 18 drivers show up. Weather cooperated for rain again, but it was warm! Setup went well with a good crew on hand (thanks, early risers!!), and Rick laid out a “hairpin special” this time. Lots of zoom and brake. Luckily few cones flew, and our resident “OMG!!” specialist kept it tight this time.
Low fifty second laps were the time to beat, and we had quite a few first-timers and luckily a couple instructors to work with them. Rich came out on top this time, and top 7 were within 1.5 seconds of the FTD. For afters, we took over the long table at Holston’s and reveled in our glory.
