Dear Fellow Members,
As it says above, “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people”, and people is what this club is all about. We have opportunities to come together around a common interest – “Porsche” – making friends, sharing resources, and having fun with our cars. This is YOUR club and we want YOUR input as we begin to plan for 2015.
Our Board/Planning meeting will be held Saturday October 18 from 9:00 AM to noon and all members are invited to attend. The meeting will be held at Harper Acura, 9739 Kingston Pike, Knoxville. Park at the Sea Ray Building across the street, go to the Acura showroom (about a 90 second walk) and staff will show you upstairs to the meeting room.
To assist us in the planning process, your leadership would very much like to hear your thoughts and ideas regarding club activities for next year. Some of the activities and related questions we will be considering are listed below.
Monthly Socials – Day of Week (currently Tue, Wed, or Thur)? Location? Meal? Drinks/Appetizers? Other?
Autocross – Scheduled at Spring Thing and Fall Fest; How many additional? Location (Splash Country, Pellissippi State College Other)?, When (Saturday or Sunday)?, How many open to other Sports Car Clubs (currently 2 events)?
Driveouts – When? Where? Overnighters?
Tech Sessions – Where? Topics? Hands-on/interactive?
Spring Thing – scheduled for April 24-26, 2015 in Greeneville, TN; Thoughts or ideas on changes or how to make this better?
Fall Fest – Thoughts or ideas on changes or how to make this better?
Great Porsche Show Off – Do you like it? Should we do more than one per year? How do we best publicize it?
Other – Any other ideas or suggestions (dream big) you want to put out for consideration?
